5 team members continued to assist CSART in locating a missing 84 year old woman in the Congleton area. The lady was found deceased on 30th December 2011 following a massive multi agency search operation. Team responded to assist Cheshire Search and Rescue Team with locating a missing 84 year old lady from the Congleton area. The search was begun by CSART on Christmas day.

Callout to assist West Midlands Ambulance service in North Staffordshire, due to snow and ice.

09.00- 4x4 team put on standby. 16 team members responded. 

2 x 4x4 vehicles deployed to Stoke with 2 team members in each.

1 x 4x4 deployed to Stafford.

Team required to assist ambulances, if required, and move personnel about.

Team stood down at 15.00, except for one vehicle transporting paramedics to Kidsgrove area.

Team called out by Staffordshire Police, to look for a missing elderly male in Stoke on Trent. 22 team members at location, 1 Polsa, 1 GP Police dog and Air One (Police helicopter). Misper was located and removed from the hill.

On Tuesday 25th October at 12.23hrs, the Duty Controller recieved a call from the CCU requesting the team be placed on Standby to assist the Police in a search for a vunerable missing male in the Moddershall area of Stoke-on-Trent. This was followed at 13.41hrs with the reqest to deploy the team. On arrival the team were tasked to search an area to the south of Meir Heath towards the village of Moddershall, Police dog teams and personnel also assisted in the search. At 18.30hrs, as it grew dark, the Polsa stood the team down with the request that they remain on standby the following day.

At 8.11hrs the following morning, the team were again asked to deploy,at this point a call was made to CSAR asking for assistance, as the team were setting up onsite, the Misper walked out of the woodland that the team were about to search and made himself known to the Police Officer on site. The Misper was treated by Team Members until an ambulance arrived and the Misper was taken to hospital. The Team have since recieved a letter of thanks from the Police Inspecter in charge of the incident.

At 04.45 hours the SSART duty controller recieved a call asking the team to assist in the search for a missing 23 year old male, due to get married later that day, who had left a pub in Stafford and had not arrived home. His mobile phone had been pinged and found on the bank of a nearby river. As the duty controller was about to activate the team, a call came through from the police control room to say that the Misper had been located safe and well.

At 08.40 hours the team were asked to assist the police in searching for a missing 32 year old male, who had been missing from St. Georges Hospital, Stafford since midnight on 4th. As the team arrived on site, a call was recieved to say that the Misper had been located

At 15.00 hours the team were asked to assist the police in searching for a missing 53 year old male, the team was asked to search Hopwas Woods, near Tamworth, as he may have been sleeping rough. 2 Inspectors, 3 Polsas,a dog handler and several special constables, along with the police helicopter were active in the search. The team were on site at 15.30hrs until the search was called off by the police at 20.30hrs, when they were happy that the area had been covered.

07 May : SSART team deployed, by request from Staffordshire Police, to the HINTS area in South Staffordshire The team were tasked to search for a male in a confussed state.The area of approx 4 sq miles, and of varied height and terrain cover, was systematically covered using search techniques resulting in the location of the gentleman.Team medics treated this gentleman and escorted him to alerted NHS medical teams and onto a medical facility.

11 April @ 1730 hours Request from WMAS to help evacuate an injured person from Cannock Chase via 4x4. The team were stood down after an alternative route was found to remove the casualty to an ambulance.

24th March 2011 @ 18:30 Hours. Whilst out on a training Ex in the Downs Banks area of Stone, Staffordshire. The team were asked to assist the West midlands ambulance service with the rescue of a female walker who had broken her ankle. 5 team members assisted with the rescue and carried the casualty off to a waiting road ambulance.

19th March 2011 @ 22:10 Hours.Whilst out on a joint training Ex with members of CSAR and YALSAR the team were aproached by a group of Walkers. One of their team ( a 14 yr old ) was suffering from exhaustion brought on by lack of food and a 35 mile walk. Person was treated by CSAR and SSART medics and handed over to the medical team from the event.

Team were called in by Staffordshire Police to look for a missing male in the Trentham area of Stoke-on-Trent. After a long search of the local area the male was found safe and well over 7K outside the search area.
